DAMMIT!!! I've been good about saving money and not impulse buying things for a while now, but your video made me immediately look for and buy one of these off eBay! Even found one with a 22 serial number! I find that 37 serial numbers are also one of their bests! This is a lens I've been wanting to get for years now! I'm more into having the aperture around f8, but I love the crazy weird bokeh this lens has and I can't wait to do artsy fartsy shit with it! I'm a huge fanboy of Vivitar lenses and they look great on Fujifilm cameras!

I have 2 C100s , got them used a few years ago. They were new $4000 , not $8000. The battery life is so-so at 2 hours, 3 for a big battery. Canon colors are a bit weak & pale. Also, I really dont like the 2gb partitions on sd cards because they lose frames. The C100 doesn't like more modern sd formats. It can only record to sd cards.

Thanks man, I'm torn between the 2 of them but am leaning towards the bmcc. Much respect for the Helios, I got mine about 7 years ago. It's definitely a specialty lens but when matched accordingly to a proper scene, it definitely shows it uniqueness in a very beautiful way!

Thanks for the review Nate. The monitor seems to lack contrast when next to your camera’s screen. I’m glad there are color adjustment sliders, but think there should be gamma/contrast control. How is the monitor when shooting outdoors? I believe it is only 1200 nits, so it may not be ideal. In a two camera shoot situation, and using the Pyro 7 as a Redding monitor, how quickly can you change from one camera signal to the other?

Hello, I have questions about the calculation of the lens mm in relation to the crop factor of the m4/3 and the Rokinon lenses. Should I multiply the mm by 2x (for example: a 24mm becomes 48mm) and then 0.71? In other words, a 24mm is equivalent to 35mm, a 35mm is equivalent to 50mm, a 50mm is equivalent to 70mm and an 85mm is equivalent to 120mm?

I'd like to put in a good word for my camera, the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II. It shoots Cinema 4K video, has headphone and mic jacks as well as a fully articulating screen. Yes, it's only 8-bit, but the advantage over the GH5 is the reliable autofocus. The image stabilization is a little better too, although the GH5 is no slouch when it comes to stabilization. It's a better tool for vlogging and, of course, photography than the GH5. It can also be had for under $500 on the used market.

I bought this tripod a few weeks back with the same head, and gave it a go with tracking aircraft at about 800mm with a Nikon Coolpix P1000. I could not get a smooth pan on the X-axis due to the lack of damping. I'm going to bite the bullet and upgrade the head on it and see how it goes. I can't fault the rest of it however.

Honestly this whole series from Hollyland makes me upset. I bought the Mars series, which I think is great but has its drawbacks, I would have loved to have seen them build that ecosystem out more or tie these two together. Doesn't give me faith in their next release that they'll continue building out this ecosystem or their past ones.

I'm missing the latency if the monitor is connected directly to the camera. Do you have that information from a test you have done yourself?

Latency is a no go! Manuel Focus is Impossible, Focus Pulling is impossible!!! Its a big fail for a Monitor

They actually did come out with the kit that includes the case for each item. It’s called the Pyro seven family kit.
